Dr. Akram Hakiri is an associate professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of Carthage, and a research scientist at SYSCOM Labs’ ENIT, both in Tunisia. He was also a senior scientist and researcher at LAAS-CNRS, Toulouse, France, and a visiting research scientist at the Institute for Software Integrated Systems (ISIS) at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, USA. Dr. Hakiri was also visiting research scientist at the university of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India and the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Romania.
He has been providing talks and presentation in different international universities in USA, India, France, Tunisia, and Romania. I am serving as a peer reviewer for dozens of top-rated journals, Technical program committee for multiple international conferences such IEEE WCNC2021, IEEE UIC2020, and session chair of IEEE ICT2010, IEEE AICCSA2017. Dr Hakiri has also developed an excellent publication record in top-rated journal (IEEE-ComMag, JSS) and top-venue conferences (IEEE NetSoft, ACM DEBS, etc.).
Dr. Hakiri is an IEEE Senior Member and the Vice-Chair of the IEEE COM NetSoft SDN MCM P1930.1 standardization project. His current research focuses on developing novel solutions to emerging challenges in network virtualization, software defined networking, QoS and resource management in wireless networks, and DRE middleware running over data networks and embedded system interconnects. He obtained his M.S. of computer sciences in 2008, and his Ph.D of computer sciences in 2012, both at the University of Toulouse, France.
