Private 5G Rapid Prototyping Program
Participation by Invitation Only

Program is Free to Qualified Participants

ONF’s Private 5G Rapid Prototyping Program is designed to foster innovation and support early adopter organizations who commit to collaborating on a rapid prototype of an OT or IIoT use case using 5G.

One of ONF’s goals as a non-profit is to foster innovation and the competitiveness of enterprises through the use of private 5G and edge cloud. Through a $30M grant, ONF is providing (at no charge) equipment and assistance to qualified participants to build prototype Industry 4.0 solutions leveraging 5G and edge cloud capabilities in order to accelerate development of commercial applications that will bring competitive advantage to US businesses.

This program is by invitation only. In order to be considered for the program, a few minimum requirements need to be met:

  • You must be working out of a USA based facility (ONF is an international organization, but because this program is supported by US federal funding, this Rapid Prototyping program is limited to deployments in the USA).
  • Must work with ONF to document a use case that will take advantage of Private 5G and edge cloud capabilities
  • Must commit to creating a rapid prototype of the use case within a 6 month timeframe

For companies accepted into this program, ONF will provide (at no charge):

This program is designed to be nimble, relatively informal, and does not require extensive paperwork. The only obligation is to sign a program agreement that will document the use case and require the return of the equipment at the end of the program.

You have likely reached this page because you have been invited to explore this program with ONF. If that is the case, please continue to work with the contact who first reached out to you. Otherwise, please email eric@opennetworking.org to inquire about the program.
