Software Defined networking lends itself well to the notion of open source, thanks to its flexibility and neutrality. Rather than creating integration challenges that come with proprietary hardware integration, open source allows a common code base to be leveraged across products and vendors, upon which unique solutions can be built to solve various use cases. What progress has been made in open source and interoperable standards within the Cloud? Is open source the definitive driver of NFV and SDN? Mike will look at the latest opensource communities particularly involving ONOS, ODL and ONF and how the related architectures will affect the private and hybrid cloud.
