Nowhere is software-defined networking (SDN) evolving more rapidly than for the carriers. Driven by skyrocketing demands for bandwidth, network functions virtualization (NFV) and a dramatically changing competitive landscape, operators were never more motivated to transform their network and their operations through Open SDN.
In this workshop, hosted by the Open Networking Foundation (ONF) leaders from the carrier SDN community will share their insights on the state of carrier SDN. Operators will share their initial experiences in evaluating early technologies and products to address their target use cases. Finally, the event will culminate in a panel discussion bringing together the leaders from many of the key industry groups, SDOs and open source projects to discuss how they are facilitating the transition.
