"Design, Development and Operation of a SDN-based BGP Playground for Networkers"
Aris Cahyadi Risdianto, National University of Singapore Researcher and ONF Ambassador
September 13th, 1:30-2:30pm
Abstract: This presentation will share an effort supported by the ISIF Asia/APNIC Foundation grant to provide a network for training purposes to match the fast growth of network operation and management. However, the education resources of integrated SDN and BGP are limited in schools in Southeast Asia, and it is very difficult to build an environment for experiencing SDN and/or BGP tutorials with internet-like exploration. To overcome the above issue and help communities join network operations, this effort focuses on building an SDN-based internet exchange playground to provide a prototyping, small-scale, IPv6, and SDN-enabled BGP environment to support training and research activities for East/South-east Asia teachers and students. It tries to satisfy educational, practical, and research purposes of an academic community such as training and experimentation.
