The massive data deluge on networks has sparked the need for specialized architectures that facilitate high-speed connectivity for high-performance applications. Brocade, in partnership with Indiana University, is demonstrating an SDN application to meet this challenge by providing dynamic flow control and optimization at the border of the network, in this case, a Science-DMZ. This programmatic, OpenFlow-based solution monitors network traffic and provides real-time flow management, improving operational efficiency and helps to maintain a secure network for service providers, enterprises, and research and education networks.
