Gil Bloch is a Staff Architect at Mellanox Technologies. His current responsibilities include Mellanox switch ASIC and systems architecture for Ethernet, InfiniBand and Fibre Channel. Gil is responsible for switch silicon APIs enabling OpenFlow® and SDN on top of Mellanox ASIC and switch. Before working on switch architecture, Gil had multiple engineering and architecture positions including network adapters ASIC design and architecture, RDMA offload ASIC and open source networking software for High Performance Computing (HPC).
He is an author/co-author of multiple patents in the area of computer networks and network adapters. Gil holds a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
