Martin is CEO and co-founder of Barefoot Networks, a networking hardware startup currently in formation.
Martin grew up in Durban, South Africa and holds EE degrees from Natal University in South Africa, and a PhD from Cambridge University, England (Trinity College). He joined Texas Instruments in 1991 where he held a variety of technical and general management (P&L) roles in both the digital and analog divisions. He was instrumental in building the TI custom ASIC business in the networking space into a profitable $500M business. Before leaving in 2013, he was a Vice President and responsible for the R&D labs chartered with opening opportunities for TI in new markets.
Martin is an alumnus of the Stanford Business School Executive Program (SEP).
