ONF surpasses 100 member companies worldwide, underscoring the relevance, importance, and momentum of the Software-Defined Networking movement.
The Open Networking Foundation (ONF) offers a valuable resource for open discussion in the networking industry. Becoming a member company brings the opportunity to influence the software-defined networking (SDN) movement through involvement in the organization, build competitive advantage, and meet potential customers, suppliers, and partners. Also, by joining ONF, member companies receive benefits including early access to emerging standards, frameworks, and use cases, as well as royalty-free use of the OpenFlow® protocol and associated standards, logos, trademarks, and more. As additional companies join the organization, we increase the marketplace of voices and perspectives being heard as we shape the future of this networking revolution.
Since our public launch in 2011, more than 100 companies worldwide have joined the organization to support the open, standards-based SDN movement, including the three newest member companies to join ONF: Coriant, TorreyPoint, and Virtela. ONF member companies represent a broad range of industries including hardware, software, systems, services, testing, telecom, data centers, and a variety of enterprises.
We are thrilled to work with this diverse group of companies so invested in SDN, and we firmly believe that the continuous growth of our organization and the momentum of the SDN movement demonstrate the market relevance and importance of our work. The continuing support of our member companies motivates our efforts toward raising awareness and driving commercialization of open, standards-based SDN focused on the benefit of end users, ensuring the bright future of ONF and this compelling advance.
