As we start off a new year, ONF is welcoming a new Board member - Dan Lenoski from Google.

Dan leads the NetInfra team at Google responsible for the cluster and host networking software for Google’s data centers. Dan has been both a technical and executive leader in the networking industry for more than 35 years, and has co-founded and led engineering teams at three successful start-ups and worked for industry leaders including Apple, Cisco, Intel, Silicon Graphics and Sun Microsystems. Dan was a co-founder of Barefoot Networks, acquired by Intel in 2019, where they built high-performance programmable switch chips and software that use the P4 programming language.  Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and his three 20-something kids, running (26 marathons and counting), biking, hiking, scuba diving, traveling and nerding out on high-tech gadgets.

Dan replaces Google’s Amin Vahdat, who has been a champion of ONF and of open networking for many years.  Amin has made multiple significant contributions to the ONF during his tenure on the Board, including championing the launch of the Stratum open network operating system and recently with the PINS project bringing P4 programmability to the SONiC network OS.  ONF thanks Amin for his valuable contributions and years of support.

Welcome Dan - we look forward to working with you!
