ONF was pleased to partner with BBWF for the recent 2021 Broadband World Forum in Amsterdam. ONF’s Andrea Campanella attended in-person along with a number of key individuals from the ONF ecosystem. The event was well attended and enabled face-to-face networking and engaging conversations that have been tough to replicate since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Deutsche Telekom’s Rüdiger Kunze gave a keynote presentation in which he discussed DT’s Access 4.0 (A4) platform strategy, including how ONF’s VOLTHA (Virtualized Open Source Broadband Solution) is being leveraged.

Andrea also gave a presentation on how Deutsche Telekom and Türk Telekom are deploying VOLTHA. The talk included an overview of the current VOLTHA architecture, project status, roadmap, and production challenges that have been overcome. Additionally, several ONF partners (ADTRAN, Deutsche Telekom, Netsia, Türk Telekom and Radisys) were able to gather for a panel workshop that focused on how to take open source to production in a broadband network leveraging ONF’s VOLTHA.
Great opportunity to catch up in person!
