In this community member profile we highlight Amit Wankhede, a Software Architect at GS Lab, who is based in Pune, Maharashtra, India. He has been an active contributor in the ONF community over the past 4-years in multiple projects areas, most recently, Aether.
Amit initially began contributions to ONF projects working on the SDN component of OMEC. He has worked on development of automation deployment for SD-Core and ROC components of Aether, such as subscriber proxy and prom-label-proxy. In his role at GS Lab he has been involved in the research and evaluation of other open source projects such as the free5gc stack. Amit is currently working on a project focused on making Aether production-ready.
With over 19 years experience, Amits has focused his career primarily in system software development in the virtualization domain. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology degree from Nagpur University.
In his time outside of work, Amit enjoys gardening, playing cricket and spending time with family and friends.
