Open Networking Foundation Executive Director to Speak at O3 Project SDN Workshop

Dan Pitt to Discuss Driving the Successful Commercialization of Open SDN for Telecommunications

Tokyo – March 10, 2014

WHO: Executive Director of the Open Networking Foundation (ONF), Dan Pitt, will present on “Open SDN in the Mainstream” at a Software-Defined Networking (SDN) workshop hosted by the O3 Project in Tokyo this week.

WHAT: During his presentation, Dr. Pitt will discuss telecommunications topics of interest to the O3 Project including carrier-grade SDN, optical transport, wireless and mobile, and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV). This presentation will also address how ONF is advocating for networking innovation, the encouragement of the successful commercialization of open SDN, and the benefits of end users as the organization enters its fourth year.

WHEN: The O3 Project SDN workshop takes place on March 14, 2014, and Dr. Pitt’s presentation will begin at 1:05 p.m. JST.

WHERE: The O3 Project SDN workshop will be held in Tokyo at Akiba Square.
